New to employing? Start Up Support

Just about to recruit your first employee?

We will get you set up with an HR infrastructure bespoke to your business so that you have the right things in place for not only your first, but also your future recruits.

Legally you need to have a written contract of employment in place, and we can draft this for you to ensure that it includes all you need to safeguard both the business and your employee. We will advise on other documents which may be useful such as a job description, staff handbook and new starter paperwork.

We provide vital guidance on what you need to know to set yourself up properly as a new employer.

HR Policy, Systems and Processes

Established employers may already have the legal documents in place, however your needs as an employer may change as the business grows and develops over time.

We can support you by reviewing your HR infrastructure to ensure that it continues to meet your changing needs in to the future.

Larger and growing businesses may need a more complex HR infrastructure, such as a pay and benefits framework, appraisal process and more detailed HR policies and procedures.

We are an accredited Partner of BreatheHR, a user friendly HR cloud based software system which has been designed for SME's and automates many HR processes, enabling managers to securely store employee data and monitor and calculate holidays, sick leave and other benefits.

Ad hoc and Occasional HR Advice

Many of our smaller clients like to know that they can call on us as and when they need us, which may be to help with a restructure or recruitment, or simply when they need a sounding board on a staffing niggle.

We advise that it is better to check something out before it becomes a bigger issue and we provide ad hoc advice and guidance on the full range of management and employment issues, including disciplinary, performance, absence, dismissal and everything in-between!

Like a Pay as You Go mobile phone contract we simply charge on our hourly basis for advice given, including telephone support, drafting letters and attendance at meetings.

We have the legal grounding and practical expertise, from having managed teams ourselves, to resolve any issue from niggle to nightmare.

Retainer / Continual Support

Retainer contracts are suitable for clients who enjoy the reassurance that they are paying a fixed monthly fee for regular and ongoing HR support.

We work closely with business leaders and managers to understand your priorities and culture in order that our support complements what you already have in place within the business.

We will undertake HR admin, removing it from your task list, including issuing contracts and drafting standard letters, and implementing HR systems and processes where we feel that they are needed.

In addition, we provide consistent professional and specialist HR advice and guidance such as drafting new policies and procedures. We coach managers through employee issues, acting as a sounding board to business leaders. We will advise on HR policy and process, reviewing in line with your needs. If required we can also support employees on a one-to-one basis.

At least once a year we will review your HR priorities in order to ensure that our services are continually meeting your needs. In this respect, the retainer package enables us to develop a long term and sustainable relationship with our clients which is focussed on adding value to the business.

We aim to work as though we are your in house HR department - you can call on us when you need to but we’re not under your feet when you don’t need us.

Recruitment

We can support you to attract and select the best quality candidates for your vacancies.

We act on your behalf as your in house recruiter, on a project day rate, not a sales commission.

A key element of our recruitment support is to assist you to design the role so that your recruitment is focussed on finding the most suitable candidate. We will plan the campaign and can support at whatever level you need, from advertising and receiving applications, shortlisting, screening, interviewing, offering, induction and on boarding.

We will develop relationships with the candidates to ensure that everyone, even those who have not got the job, receive a good experience of the process as this reflects on your business.

Training, Development and Coaching

We regularly run briefings on all elements of employment and are happy to design bespoke training for your business in line with your needs.

Antonia is a qualified Executive and Business Coach and can work with Leaders as well as individual employees on a one-to-one or group basis.

Antonia is accredited by TMSDI to deliver their team management profiles to businesses and clients. The Team Management Profile is a unique management and team development tool that gives you more perspectives on individual performance, high energy team working and organisational culture. it offers feedback based on extensive research with and for managers into what creates personal success and high performance teamwork.
